AEROSMITH To Release Rare Archival Concert Films From The Band’s Legendary Archive

As part of the continued celebration of their 50th anniversary, today the quadruple Grammy Award-winning, diamond-certified rock legends AEROSMITH (steven tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer), announces the launch of “50 Years Live!: From the vaults of Aerosmith”the band’s new “official bootleg” streaming concert series featuring five deep, archival, never-before-seen multi-camera live shows from AEROSMITHvast personal vaults. With the entire production of the five concert films overseen by AEROSMITHthe series kicks off with a live broadcast of “Live from the Summit, Houston, TX, 1977”a combination of classic live performances from a two-night adventure in Houston in 1977 that captures the band in all their raw and powerful rock ‘n’ roll glory. “Live from the Summit, Houston, TX, 1977” will premiere on AEROSMITHit’s official Youtube channel on July 29 at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET and will be available, in its entirety as a gift to fans, for one week only. Highlight clips from “Live from the Summit, Houston, TX, 1977” will also be added to AEROSMITHit is Youtube channel on July 30 and will include “Back in the Saddle”, “Mama Kin” and “Sweet Emotion”.

“Live from the Summit, Houston, TX, 1977” is pulled directly from the original 2″ analog master video cartridge for the highest possible quality and features footage filmed over two summer nights at The Summit in Houston, Texas on June 24 and 25, 1977. The original live The editing of the stream, intended for in-house displays only, has been carefully cleaned up, digitized and remastered in HD, bringing the 45-year-old footage to life. This hour-long, highly charged performance shows why AEROSMITH became one of the most popular bands of the 70s and continues to this day. “Live from the Summit, Houston, TX, 1977” goes full throttle as the band burst onto The Summit stage, delivering powerful and raw renditions of “Back in the Saddle”, “Mama Kin”, “Lord of Thighs”, “Lick and a Promise” and “Sweet Emotion”with Tom Hamiltonthe signature bassline as he lays down that familiar groove like Joe PerryThe iconic dialog box intro makes it easy for the audience to enter. Other highlights include “Draw the line”, “Take This Way”a dazzling version of “Toys in the Attic” and their ballad in the Top 10 of 1973 “Dream”.

For “50 Years Live!: From the vaults of Aerosmith”producer Steve Berkowitzas well as a long time AEROSMITH employees Tommy Higgin and John Bionellicombed through the vast Vindaloo Vaults, unearthing a treasure trove of filmed concerts recorded in the original formats of the time, spanning the band’s history through the decades. With the help of the director and producer Jennifer LeBeau (Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon), these images have been carefully transferred and converted to digital to help preserve these historic recorded documents. Produced by Steve Berkowitz and Denis Wolfethe video and audio restoration was skilfully carried out by United Kingdom and Formosan Soundgiving these performances the best possible visual and sound quality.

For five consecutive weeks, starting July 29 with “Live from the Summit, Houston, TX, 1977”, AEROSMITHthe official website of and Youtube channel will present a different concert each week from each decade. At each concert, the band’s official online store will also offer a new collection of exclusive capsules celebrating each decade.

As part of the continued celebrations around their 50th anniversary, AEROSMITH will return to Las Vegas to bring their critically acclaimed residency, “Aerosmith: Both Are Wild” at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Beginning September 14 – with shows through December 11 – the residency is the first live concert experience presented in Dolby Atmos at Dolby Live. Dolby Live is one of the world’s most technologically advanced venues for enjoying live music in Dolby Atmos.

In addition to their upcoming dates in Las Vegas, AEROSMITH is scheduled to perform at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, Maine on September 4 before heading to Boston for a show in historic Fenway Park on September 8.

Filmed in Landover, Maryland on December 17, 1989, AEROSMITH closed the 1980s in great shape with this dynamic performance at the Capital Centre. “Live from the center of the capital” features classic tracks such as “Take This Way” and “Rats In The Cellar”, as well as “Rag Doll”, “Dude (looks like a lady)” and “Permanent vacation”.

** “Live from the Coca-Cola Star Lake Amphitheater, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1993” (Premieres August 12)

Throughout the 1990s, AEROSMITH continued to be an unstoppable force in rock, delivering a high-energy set at the Coca-Cola Star Amphitheater on July 2, 1993, with the same swagger and attitude they had had since day one. The tightly knit band now belts classics such as “Eat the Rich”, “Janie Has a Gun”, “Living on the Edge” and “Cry”. Older favorites include “Last Child”, “Take This Way” and “Back in the Saddle”.

** “Live from Comerica Park, Detroit, MI, 2003” (Premieres August 19)

“Mama Kin” takes things to the next level AEROSMITH storm across Michigan on September 7, 2003, at Comerica Park during their “Rocksimus Maximus” round. Included are classics such as “Same Old Song and Dance” and “Take This Way”as good as “Jaded”, “Love in an Elevator” and the Grammy Award– single winner “Pink”. AEROSMITH ends the incredible night in a cloud of confetti and a frenetic version of “Toys in the Attic”.

** “Live from Arena Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico City, 2016” (Premieres August 26)

Captured at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City on October 27, 2016, this show was enriched by the discovery of the original multi-tracks added and mixed by AEROSMITHlongtime soundboard engineer Jean Ship. The band wastes no time getting into their groove as steven tyler struts through classics such as “Draw the line” and “Rats in the Cellar”as good as “Mad” and their hit ballad “I do not wanna Miss a Thing”. Tease the crowd with a “You see me crying” and “Home Tonight” mixed, Tyler morphs into a powerfully moving rendition of “Dream” before closing the show explosively with “Sweet Emotion”.

In addition, “Aerosmith – 1971: the road begins to hear” (UMe) is now available worldwide on CD and vinyl LP and can now be streamed.
