Army JKLI holds group performance at Dal Lake in Srinagar as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India]Aug 14 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Center under Chinar Corps held a live concert on Saturday to commemorate Independence Day as part of the ongoing celebration of Independence Day. ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The show was organized to give a message for peace in Kashmir.
The ongoing efforts for Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
The captivating spectacle was seen and enjoyed by locals, tourists, young people and children.

The performance witnessed various melodious tunes and some soulful patriotic songs. The band performed renditions of famous patriotic songs like Vande Matram, Deh Shiva Var Mohe, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon, Jai Ho and Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja.
The group’s performance aimed to spread messages of brotherhood, peace, cultural harmony, prosperity and nation-building by children, youth and local people through a universal language called “music”. .

The emotion and patriotic fervor at the event ran high as the performance culminated with the tune ‘Sare Jahan Se Achchha’.
Speaking to ANI, Bandmaster Subhedar Major Raghuwar Roy said, “The band’s job in the army is to generate enthusiasm in soldiers during war and stimulate them to win the battle. Bond also instills a sense of love for the country among ordinary citizens. . Today’s program was organized under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from which we featured many tunes of patriotic songs and we hope people liked it. This tune is presented by the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Center. Music increases mutual love and connects everyone. I want peace, unity and brotherhood to be maintained here and that is why we organized this program here.

Another conductor, Ramji BDR Thapa, said that as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, they organized a program for the general public.
“We played tunes from patriotic songs like Vande Matram, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon, Jai Ho, Sare Jahan Se Achchha and others. We hope the tune we presented is like by people and we will have to again the chance to come here and play for the people,” said Thapa.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an Indian government initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of India’s people, culture and achievements.
This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only helped bring India this far on its evolutionary journey, but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to activate India 2.0, fueled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’s official journey began on March 12, 2021, which began a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence. (ANI)
