Christopher Designs to launch lab-grown diamond line at Luxury 2022 – JCK

Christopher Slowinski, the jewelry designer and maker behind New York-based Christopher Designs, is best known for his signature Crisscut diamond cuts featuring “crisscross” facets that create optical illusions designed to maximize cut, brilliance and the beauty of stones.

Now Slowinski runs his lasers and saws on lab-grown diamonds. At the upcoming luxury show in Las Vegas, Christopher Designs is set to unveil its Neon Crisscut collection of engagement rings, wedding bands, anniversary rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets with diamonds crafted into five exclusive shapes (round, emerald, oval, pear and cushion).

JCK. “The designs are modern, classic and very refined. Each piece is crafted with attention to detail and immaculate craftsmanship that our partners have come to know and love.

The collection, which starts at $1,200 at retail, is the product of careful market attention. “We collaborated extensively with our retail partners before entering this category,” says Slowinski. “We wanted to not only ensure its success, but position Neon Crisscut as a completely different option to our core collection to satisfy consumer desire.”

Why now? Slowinski says the growing sophistication of the laboratory products category, coupled with the continued strength in jewelry sales, a pandemic-related phenomenon that has continued through 2022, has made it clear that the time has come to s expand into new territories.

“Business has grown steadily even taking into account all the post-COVID difficulties, including production delays, inventory shortages, etc.,” says Slowinski. “Our retail partners are busier than ever.”

All of this bodes well for the opening of the Luxury and JCK lounges in Las Vegas on June 8 and 10, respectively. “We were pleasantly surprised by last year’s show,” says Slowinski, “and we know this year will be even better.”
