Heavy metal band Prince William perform before preparing for royal duties

Prince William has busy days filled with official commitments and public duties where he is expected to remain professional and balanced at all times. He revealed that he turns to heavy metal music to get in the mood for the week.

William opened up about his favorite songs when he appeared on an episode of the Apple+ audio series, Time to Walk. Some fans might be surprised to learn that one of his favorite songs is by Australian rock band AC/DC.

He said: “There’s nothing better than a Monday morning, when your eyes are a little cloudy after the weekend and you’re trying to get back into the routine of the week, listening AC/DC, Thunderstruck.

“I have to say the first time I put it on, and I’ve heard it a million times now, I was kind of like, ‘Well, that’s pretty heavy for a Monday morning’.”

He continued, “But now when I listen to it, it’s the best tonic for a Monday morning. It absolutely wakes you up, puts your week in the best mood possible, and makes you feel like you can take on anything. anything and anyone.

“I imagine you’ll walk pretty fast listening to it, maybe with a skip in your step, with some head-butting. It’s a hard song not to dance to or nod to.

Elsewhere during the podcast, William revealed that another favorite family song was Shakira’s Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), which was released in 2010. He explained how Prince George and Princess Charlotte like to dance to catchy song.

He said: “One of the songs the kids are loving right now is Shakira, Waka Waka. There’s a lot of hip banging. There’s a lot of dressing up.

William revealed that young people can’t always decide which song they want to listen to and can even argue about it in the morning.

He said: “Most mornings there is a huge argument between Charlotte and George over what song is playing in the morning. And I have to, now, basically prioritize that one day someone does this one, and another day it’s someone else’s turn. So George leaves, then Charlotte leaves. Such is the clamor of music.”
