Popular metal band WASP announced Wednesday that San Antonio will be one of their stops on their 40th anniversary tour in 2022. It’s the band’s first time touring the United States in more than a decade.

The band formed in 1982 in Los Angeles and became popular in the 1980s. Some of their biggest hits include “I Wanna Be Somebody” and “Blind in Texas”.

The U.S. tour kicks off Oct. 29 and stops in four Texas cities, including San Antonio on Nov. 4 at the soon-to-open Tech Port Center + Arena in Port San Antonio. Tickets will go on sale Friday morning on the band’s website. Other stops in Texas include Houston on November 2, Corpus Christi on November 3 and Dallas on November 5.

German rock guitarist Michael Schenker and heavy metal band Armored Saint will be special guests, according to the arena’s website.
