Celebrate it UNESCO International Jazz Day 2022 with the Singapore Jazz Association Orchestra (JASSO).
Marking JASSO’s return to the stage in two years as a full-fledged band, the association is gearing up for a memorable comeback concert this April 30 at 8 p.m. SGT because it celebrates jazz music and its essential role in unifying the world.
“As we emerge from the pandemic as a full big band orchestra, we hope to continue our work to elevate the artistic community of Singapore and also the rest of the world through our programs and performances. says JASS Executive Director and Music Director, Jeremy Monteiro.
With its associate musical director Weixiang TanMonteiro teamed up with veteran jazz singers Alemay Fernandez and budding young performer Sneha Menon for an unforgettable show Capitol Theater.
Tickets for the concert on April 30 (8 PM SGT) are now available for purchase via BookMyShow for 20 SGD and 30 SGD.
Additionally, the concert would double as a scholarship award ceremony for this year’s award recipients. JASS scholarshipincluding the multi-talented saxophonist Sean HongWei and budding music teacher Nakano Kenji.
Weixiang encourages a season of moving forward armed with the power of music during the current flux of the world. “Music will always be a constant form of solace for many.” he reflects, “We hope to put on a smile and create a sense of hope for everyone who attends or listens to our concert.”
