With her new collection of engagement rings, Kendra Scott extends her brand further into fine jewelry with customizable rings that focus on affordability, craftsmanship and a tailored diamond shopping experience for her followers. of the brand.
On Monday, the Austin, Texas-based jewelry brand introduced 11 styles of engagement rings and bands, allowing the customer to select the ring material and diamond cut. The brand has chosen to work with laboratory diamonds for this first collection, and the sizes range from 0.5 carats to 2 carats. Prices start at $1,350 for a lab-grown diamond ring, $2,750 for the Kendra Scott signature locket ring, and top out at $8,150.
Kendra Scott is also introducing a new engagement ring shopping experience in stores and online. The brand’s 12 outlets will have a dedicated in-house diamond expert who will work with couples one-on-one. The virtual experience will guide couples through this same educational component and ring buying journey.
“Each couple’s love story is beautiful and unique, and we wanted to make sure Kendra Scott’s engagement experience was just as special,” said Denise Chumlea, senior vice president of customer and creating for Kendra Scott. “We are an approachable and approachable brand, and we developed the Engagement collection with our same core values in view.”
One example is the Elisa, says Chumlea, a longtime favorite for the Kendra Scott brand. The design team intentionally used the brand’s iconic icons to create something both rich in detail and instantly recognizable as Kendra Scott, she says.
“We’ve infused our legacy Kendra Scott shapes, like the Elisa, into the halo design of the Iconic Halo rings,” Chumlea explains. “We also thoughtfully placed a singular yellow sapphire on the bridge or base of the solitaire and halo rings to give that extra Kendra Scott touch representing joy, optimism and the promise of a bright future.”
Kendra Scott launched her fine jewelry in 2016 and has since added a full line of sterling silver, men’s jewelry, and most recently, Kendra Scott watches. Customers led the brand in that direction, Chumlea says, adding her fine jewelry rings as wedding bands. As a result, an engagement ring collection seemed like the right next step.
“At Kendra Scott, we continually seek opportunities to provide our customers with accessible luxury jewelry that they can wear in every special moment of their lives,” says Chumlea. “Our design team is amazing – we have a permanent team who have spent years with Kendra developing our design DNA and creative base. This has allowed us to be nimble when line extension opportunities arise.
In-house and virtual diamond experts are key to this process, adds Chumlea, sitting directly with clients in 45-minute (or longer) appointments to go over every detail of the process.
“Diamond Experts are equipped to assist a client from ideation to creation during their custom ring design process. At each appointment, a client will work directly with a Diamond Expert to curate their perfect ring” , explains Chumlea.
“The customer will have the opportunity to touch and try on the variety of sample rings and make personalized selections, including metal color, diamond cut and carat weight, which will be customized exactly to preference. client.”
Kendra Scott says all of her new engagement rings are personalized, made to order, and delivered in about three weeks. Available in solitaire, halo and signature silhouettes, the rings feature a traditional center stone including round, oval and emerald. Customers have the option of customizing the ring with their choice of 14k white, rose or yellow gold.
